Theory Quiz One is Tuesday, Oct 8
In class I gave out the study guide for our upcoming theory quiz.
Also, I tried to encourage you to use an app or the web to study. I have a page of recommendations of different things you could try, including my favorite iPhone app Tenuto.
Meanwhile, one worksheet was due today, and one is due Friday.
Homework #7: Transposed Melodies II
Worksheet #7 asks you to mark up two melodies that are in bass clef. (Actually it's two versions in the same melody, in different keys.) In order to do this you need to be up on your bass clef (p. 4 in our theory text), solfège (pp. 12-13), and key signatures (pp. 28-34).
This worksheet is due today.
Worksheet #8: More Scales and Key Sigs
OK, Worksheet #8 is our last round of homework with scales and key sigs. It includes one scale that you need to write in bass clef, and a make-your-own circle of fifths template that goes as far as 5 flats and 5 sharps.
This assignment is due on Friday, Oct 4.
