Class 38Wednesday, April 24

All right, this was a whirlwind class of three different elements. We started off by discussing the figured bass numbers in roman numeral analysis (i.e. the little "6" and "6-4" figures we add for inversions.) This is explained on pp. 89-91 of our textbook.

Next, we did a quickie review of seventh chords. We have an upcoming homework on this (#17) which I'll post at the bottom of this blog entry.

Last but not least we did a few rhythmic and melodic examples out of the soft binder, in preparation for the singing quiz on Friday.
